Polygonatum pubescens
Common Name: Hairy Solomon's Seal
Similar to Smooth Solomon’s Seal, Hairy Solomon’s Seal grows 1 to 2 feet tall with arching stems, but it has fine hairs on the undersides of its leaves. It produces small, nodding white flowers in spring, followed by dark berries in fall, and thrives in rich, deciduous woodlands. This plant adds graceful structure to woodland gardens, shaded borders, and native shade plantings, pairing well with ferns and spring ephemerals.
