Cornus sericea

Common Name: Red-osier Dogwood

Red-osier Dogwood is a multi-stemmed shrub 3 to 8 feet tall, commonly found in wet meadows, shorelines, and swamps. It features bright red stems, white flower clusters in late spring, and white berries in late summer. It provides excellent winter interest and is great for stabilizing streambanks and restoring wetlands. Red-osier Dogwood is often used in rain gardens, for erosion control, and for native hedges.
