Betula cordifolia

Common Name: Heart-leaved Birch

Heart-leaved Birch is a medium-sized tree similar to paper birch but with distinctively heart-shaped leaves that generally have more veining. Found in Minnesota’s northeastern arrow-head region in moist forests and uplands, it grows 50 to 80 feet tall. Like other birches, it provides habitat and forage for wildlife.
