Common Name: Low Serviceberry

Low Serviceberry is a small shrub, usually 3 to 6 feet tall, found on dry, rocky bluffs and prairies. It blooms early in the spring with showy white flowers, followed by edible dark-purple berries favored by birds and wildlife. This species is ideal for naturalized plantings, dry native gardens, and erosion control on dry slopes.
