The mix helps protect exposed soil, occupy newly opened ground and give your woodland a stronger foundation for continued recovery.
Seed installation is not included. Continued buckthorn management may still be necessary.
Our Buckthorn Suppression Seed Mix contains 12 native grasses and sedges selected to establish living cover after buckthorn and other woody invasive plants are removed.
Together, these species help stabilize exposed soil, occupy newly opened ground and create desirable vegetation that can support continued management as the woodland recovers.
The grass-and-sedge composition also provides greater flexibility for targeted management of broadleaf regrowth when appropriate for the site.
