Believe it or not, from its earliest days, PRI has viewed education as the most important merchandise offered at its retail operations. Yes, there are plants and interesting gifts to buy, but more than anything we expect our retail staff to be knowledgeable about home grown, local origin seeds and plants so they can help guide the development of your projects to the best possible outcome. 
Three of PRI’s six locations offer retail sales. Seed, plants, shrubs and trees can be purchased from our competent greenhouse staff at our Scandia, and Princeton locations. In addition, we are proud of our gift shops where we offer a wide variety of bird supplies, local art, children's gifts and many other unique items. At Munger near Duluth, greenhouses at our Boreal Natives site produce plants, trees and shrubs especially suited to northern Minnesota landscapes, including woodlands, wetlands and shorelines. Beginning May 16th and running through June 29th, we will have retail hours on friday (9am-2pm) and Saturday (9am-1pm), or by appointment.
