Prairie Day 2013 was GREAT!

We had perfect weather and wonderful speakers, tour guides and vendors.  We had approximately 800 visitors come and enjoy the day.

I would like to thank Don Shelby, Carmen Converse, Welby Smith, Lynn Steiner, Stan Tekiela, Tavis Westbrook,  Raptor Center and of course, our employees for helping make the day a success.  Your presentations, tours and activities were loved by all who attended.

For those of you who don’t know about Prairie Day, it is a biennial event that Prairie Restorations, Inc. puts on as a way to bring people closer to the land.  At this family oriented event, attendees can listen to some great speakers, mingle with interesting vendors, enjoy music and take tours of our beautiful farm here in Princeton.  In past years, Prairie Day was typically held in August but we thought this year we would switch it up a little to show off the grasses and flowers in early summer instead.  We didn’t anticipate winter would last as long as it did so there were not as many flowers in bloom as we would have hoped for, but it was still beautiful with much to see and do.  I hope you will come out and join us in 2015!!
