Rain Garden

Rain gardens are one of the tools that allow us to capture and manage stormwater on site. This means that harmful pollutants and sediment are filtered out before they can enter our lakes, rivers and streams. Additionally, by infiltrating stormwater on site, there is less of a burden on our stormwater infrastructure which means less urban flooding. When planted with the right mix of native species, these gardens are not only practical, attractive and functional landscapes, they provide valuable habitat as well.
