It’s not unusual for landowners to think of their property as one of their most valued and proud possessions. At PRI we recognize that there are many visions of what a piece of land can be or should be. Struggles about how to plan and/or manage land are common. And we can help you with your struggle.
Have you ever wondered what your land looked like before Europeans settled in North America? What kind of plants thrived there naturally before the arrival of exotics such as buckthorn and dandelions?
We’re proud of our ability to read a landscape and determine what practices should be implemented to achieve results that will both please you and benefit the environment. We begin by listening to understand your goals and connect them with our expertise in order to create a plan that will make your vision a reality.
In-depth site evaluations of multiple acre parcels require up to a year to complete in order to analyze a full growing season. Your PRI Property Master Plan will include:
- Comprehensive inventories of existing plant communities.
- Data about the land’s history, including county survey notes from the early 19th century.
- Water quality analyses of streams, creeks, lakes, ponds, marshes and wetlands.
- Soil evaluations and erosion plans.
- Planning schedules for site preparation, restoration of native vegetation and control of unwanted trees and plants.
- Recommendations for trails, boardwalks or other built components.
- Timelines, tasks, materials and equipment needed to proceed.
