Much has been learned since 1971, the year of PRI founder Ron Bowen’s first prairie planting. As it turns out, growing, planting and managing native species is an important but also tricky business. We have always believed in sharing what we have learned because we know that leads to more people doing more projects and more projects lead to a better environment and a healthier world.
And over all, that is PRI’s goal.

Over the years we have provided reams of information to landscape architects, engineers, planners and homeowners across the U.S., in the hope that native landscape restorations would be the outcome and, not incidentally, that PRI would design and install some of those projects. While there are no guarantees that our consulting services will result in business for our company, to this day
we remain committed to providing practical information at little or no cost because in the big picture, it advances our mission.
Site evaluations, prairie, wetland and woodland planning and property master plans include straightforward information to get the job done—information that is based on years of experience and thousands of successful projects. Good planning by knowledgeable consultants makes all the difference!
PRI plans and specifications carefully blend idealistic goals with a strong dose of reality, including cutting-edge, real world, how-to information. Authenticity and diversity are the focus and successful projects are always the goal!
