Whether your property is woodland or wetland, prairie or shoreline, small or large, public or private, PRI will be there for you! Our staff will inspect sites being considered for restoration to gather information about soils, slope, scope, existing vegetation, precipitation, sunlight and other ecological elements. For a nominal flat fee we’ll provide a detailed outline of suggested procedures and materials, including recommended plants, seeds, trees and shrubs.
There is an appropriate native plant community for every property. Unfortunately many sites have been greatly altered from their natural, pre-settlement state, presenting serious challenges for restorationists. The first all-important step is to identify the appropriate native plant community that will fit ecologically and esthetically into a particular site. PRI guarantees the use of indigenous seeds and plants grown within 200 miles of your project site. While ecologists have identified literally hundreds of diverse native plant communities, there are HUGE differences in what is native from region to region. Non-native ornamentals are rarely included in PRI design recommendations.
Experienced staff work in consultation with the region’s top architects, landscape architects, developers, park planners and corporate land managers to provide detailed recommendations and specifications, based on the success of thousands of completed projects over the past 30 years.
